This week I was on a fun river cruise up the Hudson River.  A spot I've always loved is the view of the George Washington Bridge span from afar and underneath.  A really neat historical building is the Little Red Lighthouse (Jeffrey's Hook Light).  It has been there since 1921 in this form.
Both are amazing structures.

  1. I saw a documentary recently about the building of the GWB and it said that the iconic framework design of the two end structures was originally designed to be covered with stone, but for budgetary reasons they decided they'd have to just leave it open. The rest is history.
